The Mules were eliminated from the NCAA-II Football Championship Playoff field following a 49-28 loss at Northern Colorado on Saturday, Nov. 23rd. Central had jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first five minutes of the game in Greeley, Colorado, before the host school scored 42 unanswered points. The loss, in Central's first ever appearance in the Division II Playoffs, puts the finishing touches on the Mules season with a record of 10-2.
