Jeremy Wooden receives 2003 Bill Steinke “Fighting Mules Football Scholarship”


(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – Central Missouri State Mules senior defensive end Jeremy Wooden is the 2003 recipient of the Bill Steinke “Fighting Mules Football Scholarship” at Central Missouri State University.

Established by the former Army ROTC instructor at Central, the scholarship is selected by the Mules football coaching staff and is awarded annually to a player who has exemplified leadership, determination, and character.

Wooden, the son of Kevin and Susan Wooden, is majoring in finance at Central Missouri State. A native of Columbia, Mo. and a graduate of Hickman High School, he is a senior starting defensive end for the Mules. This season he has registered 25 tackles–nine for losses–two sacks, a pass breakup and two blocked kicks.

Wooden was awarded the scholarship at halftime of the Mules’ football game last Saturday vs. Pittsburg State University.
