Willie Fritz Mules Football Show to air on KOKO-AM, KWKJ-FM
(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) - For the third consecutive season, Central Missouri State Mules' football fans will have an opportunity to interact with head coach Willie Fritz and his assistant coaches and players through "The Willie Fritz Mules Football Show," which is broadcast on Wednesday evenings throughout the football season at 6:30 p.m. from Copper Coyote in Warrensburg. The show will air on the flagship stations of the Central Sports Radio Network, 1450 KOKO-AM and J-98.5 KWKJ-FM, and on the Internet at www.kwkj.com.
The 30-minute show is broadcast live from Copper Coyote Santa Fe Grill, 630 East Young in Warrensburg. Audience participation will be encouraged and fans in attendance at Copper Coyote will have a chance to ask questions during the program. Beginning this season, fans will also have the opportunity to ask Coach Fritz questions by calling the show. Shawn Jones, the play-by-play voice of Mules football, will serve as host of the program.
"The Willie Fritz Mules Football Show" will be broadcast on KOKO and J-98.5 on August 27, September 10, September 17, September 24, October 1, October 8, October 15, October 22, October 29, November 5, November 12. There will be no show on Wednesday, September 4 due to the off-week in the Mules schedule.
1450 KOKO and J-98.5 FM will carry all the Mules' football games live this season, beginning with the 2003 season opener vs. Lincoln University at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field in Warrensburg on August 28 at 7:00 p.m. The pre-game tailgate show will begin approximately 70 minutes before kickoff. Central Missouri State University radio station KTBG-FM (90.9) will join the Central Sports Radio Network this season and carry all Mules football games beginning at kickoff. The broadcast team of Shawn Jones, Bob Jackson and Greg Hassler will once again provide the commentary.
