Mules Football has 10 named to All-MIAA squad

(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – Highlighted by two players on the first-team, the Central Missouri Mules football squad landed 10 on the All-MIAA team this week. Fittingly, the two captains, senior quarterback Toby Korrodi and junior free safety Kendall Ricketts were the top selections.
Korrodi (San Antonio, Texas) has proved to be the most efficient quarterback in Mules history with a 169.2 NCAA rating. This season, he threw 29 touchdowns to only five interceptions and completed 65 percent of his passes. He broke several Central Missouri and MIAA records in his two seasons.
Ricketts (Raytown, Mo.) made his second consecutive appearance on the first-team and led the Mules in tackles for as many seasons with 95. He also led the team with three interceptions and was named Don Hansen’s National Player of the Week twice. He is currently ranked seventh in school history with 268 tackles.
On the second-team are sophomores Adrian Singletary (Kansas City, Mo.) and Mike Gunselman (Kansas City, Mo.). Singletary, a linebacker, was third on the team with 63 tackles. Gunselman, the Mules left guard, graded out at 74 percent on the season and tallied more than 35 movement and chop blocks. Also on the second-team was junior punter Matt Frankel (Overland Park, Kan.). He landed 10 punts inside the 20 and had only two touchbacks.

Five Mules were named to the MIAA honorable mention team. Cornerbacks Randy Shepherd (Kansas City, Mo.) and Justin Brown (Blue Springs, Mo.), along with linebacker Rodrick Washington (Jacksonville, Fla.) made the team from the Mules defense. Senior tight end Ted Maxwell (Kansas City, Mo.) and senior wide receiver Matt Jacobsen (Shawnee, Kan.) represented the Central Missouri offense.
