Jamison Heiskell receives 2004 Bill Steinke "Fighting Mules Football Scholarship"

Central Missouri State Mules senior wide receiver Jamison Heiskell is the 2004 recipient of the Bill Steinke "Fighting Mules Football Scholarship" at Central Missouri State University.

Established by the former Army ROTC instructor at Central Missouri State, the scholarship is selected by the Mules football coaching staff and is awarded annually to a player who has exemplified leadership, determination, and character. Steinke is now a resident of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Heiskell, the son of Daphne Heiskell, is majoring in physical education at Central Missouri State. A native of Dallas, Texas and a graduate of Wilmer-Hutchins High School, he transferred to CMSU last year from Cisco Junior College. As a junior, Heiskell was an honorable mention All-MIAA selection after catching 25 passes for 291 yards and a touchdown. He also set a school record by blocking five punts on the year. This season he has registered six receptions for 82 yards, as the Mules have opened the season 2-1.

Heiskell was awarded the scholarship at halftime of the Mules' football game last Saturday vs. Northwest Missouri State University.
