An accurate passer that benefitted from game experience last season... comes into camp as the No. 1 QB on the depth chart.
As a sophomore: Started nine games at quarterback... threw 14 touchdowns compared to 10 INT’s while piling up 1,741 yards... tossed three touchdowns against Northwest Missouri (Oct 13) while completing a season-high 26 passes (T-4th most in UCM history)... also set a career-high with 365 yards passing against Missouri Western (Nov 3) to rank as the seventh most in a game in UCM history... earned MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll. As a freshman: Completed 13 of 21 passes in the first two games of the season... threw his first career touchdown pass against Dakota State to tight end Ted Maxwell in the home opener. In high school: Head Coach: Ben Blank – One of the most decorated quarterbacks in Missouri high school history, Czerniewski set state records for completions (775), attempts (1,235), yards (11,557), and touchdowns (140) in a career... He also set those records for a single season, going 285-of-452 for 4,407 yards and 52 touchdowns compared to only six interceptions... He led Montgomery City to its first ever appearance in the State Finals and was named all-district, all-conference, and all-area three times... He was the East Central Coaches Association Offensive Player of the Year and a three time all-state pick by both the coaches and media... Also helped his team to three district and conference championships… receives academic aid at UCM for his performance in the classroom.
