In high school: Attended Blue Valley High School, and was a two-time honorable mention Kansas Class 5A all-state selection... also a third-team all-class honoree... passed for 1,953 yards and 13 TD’s while rushing for 476 yards and nine TD’s his senior season... also helped Blue Valley go 12-1 and win the state title as a senior.
