Coach Fritz on Bruce Williams: “Bruce was injured again last year
and he will stay at corner this season after filling in at other positions.
He has the height and speed you like at corner and plays well in the
kicking game. He also had a great year for the Mules track team.”

As a junior: Recorded 25 tackles in only six games after getting injured
for the rest of the season... also recorded a half tackle for loss... Also
took 2nd in the 4x400 and 7th in the 4x100 at Nationals for UCM.

As a sophomore: Played in eight games overall, making 22 tackles and
leading the team with two interceptions... He made his first start of the
season at Emporia State and responded with five tackles and a pass
breakup in the end zone ... he missed two games with a hand injury ...
vs. the Lincoln Blue Tigers he had three tackles, an interception and
blocked a punt... Won the 200 meters at both the indoor and outdoor
MIAA Championships for the track team... All-American in the 4x400
meter relay and national qualifier in 100 and 200 outdoors.

As a Redshirt: Redshirted in football, but was a valuable member of
the Mules’ track & field team ... he was an MIAA-champion during the
outdoor season with the 4x100- and 4x400-meter relay teams ... he also
placed second in the 100-meter dash and third in the 200.

At Indiana State: Lettered as a freshman in both football and track ...
earned All-America honors in the 100- and 200-meter dashes, and was
all-conference in the 100, 200, 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays outdoors,
and in the 200 and 4x400 during the indoor season.

In High School: Lettered two years in track and football at Ben Davis
High School ... earned all-conference and all-county honors on the
4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams as a junior and senior, and in the
200-meter dash as a senior ... also was a three-time all-conference and
all-state selection on the football field.

Personal: Computer Information Systems major ... born January 2,
1985 ... son of Bruce Williams, Jr. and Natalie Johnson Lee.
