Mules second at NCAA-II Regional
The University of Central Missouri golf squad finished second at the NCAA Central Regional in Findlay, Ohio after starting off the first round with a 316. In sixth place, the Mules responded with a 290 and a 291 on the final two days for their final spot.
The Mules (+33) were 10 strokes ahead of third-place Missouri Western (+43), while Washburn (+20) ran away with the event, scoring a 13 stroke win.
The top individual performance for UCM was by Justin Yoder who tied for second with a +3, while Stefan Ballage took a ninth place +9 into the clubhouse. Matt Miller finished tied for 10th with a +10, Ty Needles tied for 23rd with a +15 and Jon Wrast tied for 30h with a +18 score.
Washburn will be the only team from the regional that advances to the NCAA Championships.
