Mules finish second at Heart of America Classic
The Central Missouri Mules golf squad took second on Tuesday as they hosted the Heart of America Classic at Keth Memorial Golf Course. They carded a 576 while the Ichabods of Washburn edged them by three strokes to take the title.
The Mules trailed by one stroke coming into the final round but WU shot a one-over 285 while UCM put up a 287. The next closest team was Missouri Southern in third and they finished 21 strokes behind the Mules.
Individually, Justin Yoder and Ty Needles each shot one-over with a two-round total of 143. They tied for second place while Jon Wrast finished in a tie for seventh. Yoder tied for the best round of the week with a 69 (-2) on Tuesday.
