The University of Central Missouri Mules golf squad took third at the NCAA Super Regional with a three-round total of 871 (+19), and qualified for the NCAA-II National Championships for the first time since 2002.

Central Missouri carded 287, 295, and 289 scores in the three-day event, finishing six shots back of Northeastern State (Okla.), and 12 shots back of champion Wayne State (Mich.). The Mules tied for the best round of the day on Wednesday to move into third.

Justin Yoder shot a 2-under 211 to finish third overall, while Matt Miller was tied for sixth with a 2-over 215.

The top five teams in the each of the four Super Regionals qualified for the NCAA-II Championships in Blaine, Washington on May 19-22 at Loomis Trail Golf Club. It is the sixth time in school history that UCM has qualified for the championships (1980, 1981, 1994, 1995, 2002), and the fourth time under Head Coach Tim Poe.

Other MIAA schools that made the Super Regional included Washburn, who finished eighth (+30), and Missouri Southern, who took 16th (+46).
