Mules golf opens new season with title

The University of Central Missouri golf squad got the 2009-10 season kicked off right, winning the Missouri Intercollegiate at the Club at Porto Cima with a three-round total of 880 (+16) on Wednesday, 12 strokes better than second place Drury.
The Mules tallied rounds of 300, 286 and 294 to take the crown, while senior Justin Yoder finished second overall with a 211 (-5). Junior Matt Miller shot a 220 (+4) to finish tied for sixth overall, while junior Zach VanDolah was tied for 13th with a 224 (+8).
