Mules golf wins Truman State Invite

The Central Missouri Mules golf team used an 8-under 276 on Tuesday to storm from behind and win the first MIAA event of the season at Truman State with a 569.
Central Missouri sat in second after day one with a four-man total of 293 in the opening round, while Washburn put up a 287. The Mules finished eight strokes ahead in the final standings, as the Ichabods tallied a 290 Tuesday (577 overall).
The day two score was thanks to a tournament low 67 by junior Matt Miller on the par 71 Kirksville Country Club. Senior Justin Yoder fired a 68 and sophomore Jared King tallied a 70 in the day two romp.
Miller and junior Ryan Kloeppel tied for third at the event overall with a pair of 142’s, while Yoder was sixth at 143.
