Coach Slifer on Stephanie Hicks: “Stephanie has improved her strength and we are looking forward to an improved sophomore season. She’s battling a stress fracture in her foot, but we feel it will be fully healed by the start of the season.”
As a Freshman: Saw action in 22 games . . . scored 31 points and grabbed 13 rebounds . . .shot 57.9 percent from the field
In High School: Hicks averaged 13 rebounds and 11 points, a game for Knox County and earned first team all-conference and all-district honors last season . For her junior season, she was also named to the North Shelby All- Tournament team and grabbed honorable mention all-area accolades . . . was a McDonald’s All-American . . . she also lettered in softball.
Personal: Biology major . . . born March 25, 1988 . . . is the daughter of Steve and Lynn Hicks.
