As a Junior: Earned South Central Region All-Tournament Team and second-team NABC South Central Region honors... An honorable mention All-MIAA player, he started every game, and led the league in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.76)... Set his first career-high with 14 points against Missouri Valley, going 4-of-8 from three point range (Nov. 29)... Matched that 14-point effort at No. 5 Southwest Baptist (Dec. 2)... Scored 16 points against Henderson State (Dec 19) on 4-of-6 three-point shooting... Tallied double-figures against Missouri Western (Jan 17) with 17 points... Scored 16 points and dished out five assists and a career-high five steals in an upset of No. 6 Southwest Baptist (Jan 24)... Upped his numbers against Washburn (Feb 11) with 18 points... Became the first Mule since 2005 to record a 10-assist game against NWMSU (Feb 21) on National TV...followed that with a career-high 11 assist, seven rebound performance against MWSU (Feb 25), while also tallying 17 points...Had a game winning blocked shot against Missouri Southern (Mar. 5) in overtime... Scored a career-high 25 points against Midwestern State (Mar 15) in the regional semifinal.
Before UCM: A two-year starter for the Red Hawks and head coach Charlie Coles… as a freshman there, helped team to the MAC Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament before losing to Oregon by two points in the first round… tied the school record with 33 games played in both his freshman and sophomore seasons… led the team in assists and ranked among the MAC leaders in assist-to-turnover ratio as a freshman… he was named the Arthur and Olga Atkins Freshman of the Year after averaging 4.3points, 3 assists, and 25.6 minutes per game… Attended St. Francis Borgia High School in Washington, Mo., playing for head coach Dave Neier… led the team to a 30-1 record and a Class 4 Missouri State Championship as a senior while averaging 23.4 points and 4.5 assists per game… earned all-state honors two times and was the St. Louis co-player of the year along with current Mules teammate Sanijay Watts… was also the runner-up for Mr. Basketball in Missouri… the Academic All-State Player of the Year, he also played in the MBCA Hall of Fame and Riverwar All-Star Games… averaged 23 points per outing as a junior as well, hitting 62 percent from the field… he was a four-year letterman and three-year captain for the Knights as well… majoring in marketing and was a member of the National Honor Society.
