As a Junior: Played in 18 games as a junior, averaging 5.8 minutes per game... He logged a season high 17 minutes against Bacone College (Nov 24) and had a season-high five rebounds against St. Edwards (Mar 10) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament... also played a big role in the MIAA Championship game, coming off the bench for eight minutes of play to defeat Pittsburg State (Mar 4).

As a Sophomore: He appeared in eight games, averaging just over three minutes per outing ... he had a season-high five rebounds and 11 minutes vs. Haskell Indian Nations and a career-best two assists vs. William Penn.

As a Freshman: He appeared in 12 games as a freshman in 2004-05, seven in conference action ... he averaged 0.8 points and 1.3 rebounds per game ... he had a season-high four points and eight rebounds vs. Westminster ... he played 18 minutes in that contest, the only time he went into double-digits all season ... he also had a blocked shot, a steal, and an assist ... he also had three points vs. St. Edward’s and three rebounds vs. Missouri-Rolla.

In High School: Lettered all four years for head coach Dave Porter ... as a senior he averaged 6.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while hitting 56 percent of his field goals ... his numbers went up to 8.0 points and 10.1 boards in conference action, as he helped lead Lafayette High to a 28-4 record and a third place finish at the Missouri Class 5 State Tournament ... earned all-conference and all-district honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior, and as a senior was also nominated for McDonald’s All-America accolades ... a solid student-athlete out of Lafayette, came on an academic scholarship in addition to his athletic aid.

Personal: Business major with a 3.65 GPA ... born July 23, 1985 ... son of Ron and Terri Banister. He is also the president of the SAAC.
