Before UCM: A third-team NJCAA All-American and North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Year as a sophomore, Daniel ‘Skip’ Thomas led head coach Kirby Johnson’s squad to a 23-7 record last year… He averaged 16 points and eight rebounds per game while ranking 18th in the nation with a 64.7 field goal percentage last season… He was a first-team all-conference and all-region selection last season as well... attended Lyndon B. Johnson High School in Austin and played for head coach Freddie Roland... earned all-conference as a junior and a senior and was a McDonald’s All-American nominee.
