Jennies explode in 2nd half against Emporia State

Caitlin Keith records the hat trick with three goals against ESU
The 15th-ranked Jennies soccer team rolled to a 6-0 win over Emporia State on Saturday night at the South Recreation Complex.
The Jennies (5-1-1, 3-0-0 MIAA) led only 1-0 at halftime thanks to a goal from Melanie Hall. Hall found the net off a corner from Randi Fernsler.
Things, however, picked up in the second half. Caitlin Keith scored 55 seconds into the second period off an assist from Erin Hainey. Keith would score two more times to record a hat trick – the first three goals of her college career. Landri Schmitt tallied two goals in the 63rd and 68th minute, respectively, her second and third goals of the season.
The Jennies used three goalkeepers to record the shutout, Liz Casey started and led the way with two saves.
