Jennies place three on NSCAA/Adidas
All-Central Region Squad
Hazel Cox, Kelsi Ginavan, and Carrie Twellman
The postseason honors keep rolling in for the Central Missouri Jennies soccer team. After the first conference title and first NCAA tournament win in school history the Jennies are being honored again. UCM had three players selected to the NSCAA/Adidas All-Central Region team. The three selections led all MIAA schools.
Senior Kelsi Ginavan and juniors Hazel Cox and Carrie Twellman were all named to the second team. This is the third selection for both Cox and Twellman and the first for Ginavan. Cox was a first-team selection a year ago and second team as a freshman while Twellman was named to the second team last year and the third team her freshman campaign. Both Cox and Twellman were earlier named to the Daktronics All-Region second team.
Cox led UCM in scoring with six goals and five assists for 17 points. Twellman finished the season with nine points (four goals, one assist) while Ginavan had one assist while anchoring a defense that had a goals against average of 0.76 and recorded 10 shutouts on their way to a 13-4-4 record.
