Fernsler on Daktronics All-American Squad
Randi Fernsler
Central Missouri senior soccer player Randi Fernsler was named to the Daktronics All-America Third Team.
Fernsler had one goal and one assist on the season, both coming on game-winning goals. She helped anchor a defense that had a 0.65 goals against average, tied a school record with 12 shutouts and helped the Jennies to a school-record 15 wins and their second consecutive MIAA championship. The Jennies advanced to the NCAA tournament for the third straight year and were selected as the host of the South Central region for the first time. UCM was eliminated in the second round by Texas A&M-Commerce.
Sports Information Directors from NCAA D-II schools and conferences selected the three Daktronics All-America teams. The process began at the regional level with all first team all-region picks advancing to the national ballot.
