Jennies suffer second straight shutout
The No. 14 Central Missouri Jennies soccer team fell 1-0 to Midwestern State on Sunday afternoon in Wichita Falls, Texas.
UCM (0-2) outshot the Mustangs 16-7 for the game, including 8-2 in the opening half, but could not find the net. Melanie Hall led the Jennies with eight shots, three of which were on goal. Kayla Jupp had three shots as Kayla Shain, Alyssa Rhodes, Kelsie Hanson, Katie O’Keefe and Cara Hennahane all recorded one.
Lauren Bamvakais had four saves in goal for the Jennies.
Midwestern State took the lead on a Kelsely Hill shot in the eighth minute of the game off a pass from Katy Lukert.
