Jennies sting Hornets, 4-1

                Jennies soccer opened the conference portion of their schedule with a victory over Emporia State, 4-1 last night in Emporia, Kan. With the win they extended their unbeaten streak to nine games dating back to last season.
            Hazel Cox got CMSU (6-0, 1-0 MIAA) rolling with two first half goals, scoring her first goal 15 minutes into the game off a feed from Melanie Hall. She would add her second one just over seven minutes later when she received a pass from Lindsay Hoerl and deposited it in the back of the net. ESU (1-5, 0-2) would cut the deficit in half on an own goal two minutes before the intermission.
            In the second half it was all Jennies as they dominated the Hornets. Landri Schmitt gave the Jens back their two goal lead when she scored on a feed from Mallory Milburn in the 55th minute. Angela Dobbie sealed the victory with her first collegiate goal taking a pass from Milburn and knocking it home almost seven minutes later.
