Coach Theobald on Heidi Helfers: “One of the most respected people on our team by the players because of her effort and attitude to come back from being injured.”
In 2006: Received a medical redshirt after getting injured in the third game of the season... also a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. As a Freshman: Helfers appeared in 11 games, taking seven shots, three on goal. In High School: A first-team all-conference performer and team captain for Lafayette High School as a junior while leading her team to a 17-5-2 mark and a district final appearance ... she was another member of the St. Louis Arsenal club team ... sat out most of her senior season due to a torn ACL. Personal: Physical Education major ... born May 14, 1987 ... daughter of Don and Jane Helfers.
