Jennies place 11 on MIAA Academic Honor Roll
The University of Central Missouri Jennies softball squad had 11 players named to the 2008 MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll announced last week.
The following players were named to the conference honor roll: seniors Katie Bauer majoring in accounting, Melissa Palmer physical education, and Whitney Sandberg physical education. Juniors named to the squad were Kherri-Dean Hummer in computer technology and Kelly Martin, biology. Sophomores Tarese Ely-Myers majoring in management, Angela Selby biology, Jenny Thum management, Lindsey Wagaman accounting, Andrea Walter marketing, and Cat White majoring in physical education rounded out the squad for the Jennies.
To be selected to student-athletes had to meet the following criteria: 1. must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or better at the qualifying institution; 2. must have at least two semesters of attendance at the member school, excluding summer sessions; 3. must be a sophomore, junior or senior in athletic eligibility, 4. cannot be a redshirt or under hardship qualifications.
