Coach Anderson on Megan Leonard: “Meg had an amazing first year in the MIAA. She has great mound presence and is very confident in the circle. She’s proven that she can shut down some great hitting teams. She wants the ball when the game is on the line.”

As a Junior: Led UCM with 20 wins and a 1.07 ERA...broke UCM single-season strikeout record of 185 set by Mandee Berg in 1997 with 303 K’s in 222.1 innings pitched...was named MIAA Pitcher of the Week four consecutive weeks...tossed a no-hitter with 11 K’s against Missouri Southern to break the single-season strikeout record..tied single-season saves record with five...named First team All-MIAA and second team All-Region.

At Crowder: Named first team all-region both seasons at Crowder.

In High School: All-conference and all-district pick all four years ... named first team all-state three seasons and was selected as the conference player of the year twice for head coach Lori Videmschek at Purdy High School.

Personal: Leonard is majoring in Fashion merchandising...she is the daughter of David and Vicki Leonard...was born October 13, 1986.
