Coach Anderson on Catherine White: “An injury cut her season short last year. This year she is healthy, so we’re looking forward to seeing what she can do offensively and defensively. She’s aggressive in the outfield and will go all out.”
As a Freshman: Made 17 starts ... hit .522 in 18 plate appearances ... had a 1.000 fielding percentage.
In High School: She earned three letters for coach Michelle Mages. White was a first team Kaw Valley League pitcher her junior year. She earned honorable mention all-Johnson County and was named first team all-state at utility/designated player as a senior. She was a member of a Regional Champion softball team her junior season. White was named Mill Valley High School Female Athlete of the Year as a senior. She earned four letters in basketball and two in cross country. She competed in the state cross country meet her junior and senior years.
Personal: White is majoring in Exercise Science. Her parents are John and Pat White. She was born June 2, 1988.
