Coach Anderson on Jennifer Thum: “JT has continued to improve and does a great job of running down balls in the outfield. She brings a lot of positive energy to our team. She is a true team player. She could see time in any outfield posistions as well as pinch running.”
As a Freshman: Appeared in 20 games, starting four ... had 10 putouts and committed zero errors.
In High School: Thum played softball for Doug Robinson at Rockwood Summit. She earned three letters and was named first team all-conference, first team all district, and honorable mention all-metro. During her senior year she hit .341, scored 25 runs, had 11 stolen bases, an on-base percentage of .383, and had a slugging percentage of .420. Thum was a member of one conference championship and two district championship teams. She earned two letters in basketball and track and was 16th in the 4x100 at the state meet.
Personal: Thum is majoring in Business Management. Her parents are John and June Thum. She was born May 10, 1988.
