Mules qualify four, Jennies three to Indoor Nationals

The Mules and Jennies track and field qualified seven total individuals to the NCAA Indoor National Championships in Mankato, Minnesota from March 14th-18th.
The Mules qualified four individuals. Freshman Drew Frizzel was the only individual to qualify in two events, going in both the shot put and weight throw. Frizzell is seeded 12th in the shot and 15th in the weight throw. Senior Dan Raithel qualified in the weight throw and finished as an All-American a year ago by taking seventh. Raithel will enter as the third ranked thrower in the event. Junior Jaban Moore also earned a berth in the shot put and is ranked fourth. Sophomore Kai Roper will be the only Mules competitor in the sprints by qualifying in the 200 meter dash and is seeded 12th.
The Jennies qualified three individuals. Junior Chelsea Luck will compete in the 60 meter hurdles, and finished as an All-American in the event last year by taking fifth. Luck will enter the competition ranked 15th in the event. Senior Haley Morrissey qualified in the high jump and is ranked in a tie for sixth. Freshman Jenna Schmidt qualified in the triple jump and is ranked 12th.

Drew Frizzell- Shot Put, 54-08.75 (12th seed) – Weight Throw, 60-3.75 (15th seed)
Kai Roper- 200 meters, 21.99 (12th seed)
Jennies Qualifying Marks/Seeds:
Chelsea Luck – 60 meters hurdles, 8.75 (15th seed)
Haley Morrissey – High Jump, 5-07.25 (tie-6th seed)
Jenna Schmidt – Triple Jump, 38-07 (12th seed)
