Mules and Jennies host Mule Relays


Drew Frizzell and Jaban Moore posted automatic qualifying marks at the Mule Relays
UCM track and field hosted the annual Mule Relays on Friday at Walton Stadium-Kennedy Field.
The Mules recorded eight, first-place finishes, and had a pair of automatic NCAA-II qualifying marks. Drew Frizzell had a personal best throw in the hammer (215-10) and automatically qualified for nationals. His mark took second place behind a stadium record throw of 223-01 by Zach Hazen, who threw unattached. Frizzell took second and provisionally qualified in the discus (166-0) and placed third in the shot (52-04) to earn another provisional. Jaban Moore took second in the shot (56-08.50), as he automatically qualified, and had a provisional throw in the hammer (187-04), to place fifth. Dennis Hopgood provisionally qualified by winning the long jump (24-01) along with Eric Moore taking third with a jump of 23-06.25. The UCM 4x100 meter relay squad finished first and provisionally qualified at 40.77. Anthony Cooper placed first in the 400 hurdles (53.32) to pick up a provisional mark.
The Jennies turned in seven, first-place finishes, with a pair of provisional NCAA-II qualifying marks. Lindsay Lettow won the long jump with a provisional mark of 18-05.75. Brittanie Roldan took first in the triple jump (39-03.75) to get a provisional.
