The Jennies are serving as host to the 2009 NCAA-II South Central Regional at the UCM Multipurpose Building, marking the first time since 1995 that UCM has hosted the event.

Action from the Jennies regional semi-final battle with Pittsburg State
The top-seeded Jennies advanced to the championship match of the regional with a hard fought 3-0 victory over Pittsburg State on Friday evening.
Abby Gruenbacher led the Jennies with 13 kills while Allie Huffman added 12 more in the winning effort. Caitlin Pankratz finished with 43 assists and Rachel Fister recorded 20 digs for UCM.
The Jennies, ranked fourth in the latest AVCA D-II Coaches Poll, improve to 34-4 heading into Saturday's regional championship against fifth-ranked West Texas A&M at 3:30 p.m.
The Jennies will be making their first appearance in a regional championship since 2006, and will be after their first regional title since 1996, and their seventh NCAA-II regional championship overall.

"Live Stats" / Listen Live / Free Webcast
Up to the first 500 UCM students to attend the NCAA South Central Regional volleyball tournament. Central Missouri students must show their student I.D. to receive their free ticket, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Jennies matches in the regional will be broadcast on 1450-AM KOKO and www.warrensburgradio.com. All matches in the regional will be available via a free webcast.

Piontek named Coach of the Year, six players honored by MIAA

Flip Piontek has been honored by the MIAA for leading the Jennies to the league title in his first year at the helm of the program, as he was the unanimous selection for the Coach of the Year.

The Jennies pose with the MIAA championship trophy after being presented with hardware on November 17th. The conference title was the first for the Jennies since 2000, and first stand alone title since 1999.
The Jennies finished the regular season with an 18-2 conference mark and an overall record of 32-4. The 32 wins is the most for UCM since 1996.
