Jennies win streak snapped by Truman State
Rachel Fister had a match high 17 kills to lead the Jennies attack against Truman State
The fifth ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies 14-match win streak was snapped on Wednesday night as they fell to No. 8 Truman State by a 3-1 margin at the UCM Multipurpose Building.
The Bulldogs (16-3, 4-0 MIAA) and Jennies (18-2, 5-1 MIAA) were neck and neck in game one before a spurt at the end gave Truman the 30-27 win. The second game was all Central Missouri from start to finish as it doubled up the Bulldogs early and never let up on the way to a 30-17 romp. TSU used spurts midway though the final two games and pulled away for 30-21 and 30-22 scores to clinch the match.
Central Missouri finished the night with four players in double-figure kills but committed 30 errors, compared to the Bulldogs’ 19 miscues to drop the match. The Bulldogs also hit more than .300 in the final two games while UCM was never better than .208 in either.
Rachel Fister led the way with 17 kills while Audrey Jensen picked up 30 digs on the night. Caitlin Pankratz dished out a match-high 54 assists as well.
