Jennies volleyball captures St. Mary’s Invitational

Jennies volleyball captured the St. Mary’s Invitational in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday with 3-0 match victories over Cameron University and Arkansas-Monticello. The Jennies opened up play on Friday with a 3-0 victory over Indiana (Pa.) and a 3-1 victory over host St. Mary’s University.
In match one against Indiana (PA) the Jennies won 30-18, 30-14, 30-15, and were led by Amber Yoder’s 13 kills. Freshman Rachel Fister and senior Audrey Jensen each had 11 digs as the Jens cruised.
In the Friday nightcap, the Jennies posted a 3-1 victory over St. Mary’s University (30-22, 24-30, 30-19, 30-24), losing their only game of the weekend. Central Missouri was led with 16 kills by Fister and 13 kills by Yoder. Jensen picked up 23 digs in the match and Caitlin Pankratz logged a weekend-high 45 assists.
Saturday the Jennies took out Cameron 30-10, 30-21, 30-10. Jillian Ohrman and Yoder each led the way with 14 kills. Pankratz had 29 assists to go along with nine digs in the contest. Jensen led Central Missouri with 18 digs.
The Jennies finished the tournament on Saturday with a 3-0 victory over Arkansas-Monticello (30-19, 30-19, 30-22). Yoder had 12 kills and Andrea Robertson had 10 in the match. Jensen once again led the way in digs with 16.
