Chrissy Elder

Assistant Coach

Chrissy Elder joined the Central Missouri volleyball staff in the spring of 2007 and serves as recruiting coordinator.

She was at the University of Missouri-Kansas City for two seasons from 2005-06, her first as a graduate assistant coach, and the last year as the interim head coach for the Kangaroos. While there, she was responsible for every aspect of the program from recruiting to in-game coaching. She is currently finishing her master’s degree from UMKC.

Elder earned her bachelor’s degree from Pittsburg State, where she played and served as a student assistant coach. As a player in 2003, she was a first-team All-MIAA, second-team all-region, and All-American setter for the Gorillas. She served as the student assistant in the 2004-05 season and played for head coach Ibraheem Suberu for one season, helping the Gorillas to the NCAA Tournament and appearances in the AVCA Top 25. Elder played her first three seasons of collegiate volleyball at the University of Missouri.

She also spent three years as the head coach for the Star Aquilla of the OZ Volleyball Club in Overland Park and Pittsburg, Kansas.

The Kansas City native earned her degree in Recreation/Fitness Management from PSU in May of 2005. Elder also assists in the day-to-day operations of the Multipurpose Building.
