Jennies picked up a 3-1 win at Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Mo., on Friday evening to open a two match road swing. The Jennies, sixth in latest AVCA D-II Coaches Poll and first in the D-II South Central Regional
Rankings, improve to 16-2 in the MIAA and 30-4 overall.
Paula Harris and Abby Gruenbacher led the way for UCM with 16 and 15 kills respectively.
The Jennies will play in St. Joseph, Mo., on Saturday evening against Missouri Western at 7 p.m. "Live Stats" /

Martin selected for AVCA Hall of Fame
Former Jennies coach Peggy Martin will be one of four inductees this year into the American Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Martin directed the Jennies program for 33 seasons before steping down after last season...More Info »

Piontek announces first signee
The University of Central Missouri volleyball squad and Head Coach Flip Piontek announced the signing of Julia Bates to play for the Jennies in 2009.

A two-time all-state performer for head coach Julie Slater at Lansing High School, she led her team to Sub-State titles as a junior and senior… as a junior she helped them to a fourth place finish in the state, and as a senior they were a state tournament participant earning all-tournament team honors both years… Bates earned four letters, all-conference honors in 2007 and 2008, and all-metro honorable mention accolades in her career… she also participated in the Mo-Kan All-Star Game… born March 7, 1991… daughter of Ron and Sharon Bates.
