Coach Piontek says: “She started two years at Jacksonville State until she tore her achillies during her sophomore season. Her contribution will be determined by her recovery.”
At Jacksonville State: Averaged 2.13 kills per set as a sophomore to rank third on the team, playing in 45 games and 13 matches... Played in 35 sets and 15 matches as a freshman, and logged a season-high 13 digs against No. 20 Missouri.
In High School: Played four seasons for head coach Gwenn Pike at Bishop Miege High School in Shawnee Mission, Kan… Was a 2006 PrepVolleyball.com High School All-American for her efforts as a senior at BMHS… A first team all-state selection in both her junior and senior seasons… The runner up for the 2006 Kansas Gatorade Player of theYear Award, she led the Stags to the Kansas 5A state title in her freshman and sophomore seasons before second and third-place finishes in her junior and senior years… Also had first-place finish in the Eastern Kansas League in her senior season… Was also a first team all-district and all region performer in her final two seasons…Was a first-team selection to the KC Star All-Metro Team as a senior.
Personal: Marketing major... Born May 17, 1989... Daughter of Steve and Courtney Williams... Sister Jacquelyn played at UCM from 2005-08 and currently serves as a graduate assistant coach for the Jennies.
