As a Freshman: Played in 34 matches on the year as a defensive specialist... Averaged 1.84 digs per set in 85 sets... Had a season high 22 digs at Regis on September 5... Had four matches in double-figure digs on the year and logged at least a dig in 29 matches... Earned MIAAAcademic Honor Roll for her work in the classroom.
In High School: Played for head coach Christina Boesiger at Norris High School in Firth, Neb... A four-year letterman and starter, she was also the team captain for three seasons... Led her team to a couple district titles and a berth in the state tournament... a three-time all-conference pick (first-team on two occasions), she also earned second-team all-state twice and first-team honors as a senior... She also earned Beatrice Daily Sun All-Area Team and won several team awards including team MVP one year, best back row player once, and best offensive player on another occasion... She broke the Nebraska state record for digs and earned MVP of the Southeast Nebraska All-Star Team... Also took her club team, the Nebraska Volleyball Academy-Red 17 and under, to a national title at the 2007 Junior Olympics... A talented basketball player as well, she was a four-year letterman and three-year starter... As a freshman she earned Gatorade Rookie of the Year, helping the squad to a conference and district title and making it to the state semifinals... The two-time team captain, she also grabbed first-team all-conference and All-Sunland two times as well as honorable mention all-state twice, ranking in the area’s top 20 in scoring, 3-point percentage, and assists... She also made the Pinnacle-Daubert All- Star Team two times, beating out more than 250 other players... Excelled in the classroom as well, earning academic all-conference and all-state in both sports...also lettered two years in track.
