Coach Martin on Amber Yoder:  “Outside and rightside who had a great Spring that needs to carry over in the Fall.  Has played both positions for us and will do so again this year.  Will be competing for a starting role as a senior who has been a primary back-up through out her Jennies career.”

As a Junior: Saw action in 29 matches and 59 games in a reserve role at outside hitter... Had a season-high 11 kills against Missouri-St. Louis on September 15... Hit a season-high .400 against both Southwest Baptist (10-9-06) and Missouri Southern (11-9-06)... Also earned MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll for her grade-point average.

As a Sophomore: Battled through injuries to play in 92 games and 33 matches... finished fourth on the team with 176 kills and fifth with 48 blocks... had four matches with double-figure kills, including a career-high 16 against Missouri Western on Sept. 16... she also hit .538 against Alabama-Huntsville by getting seven kills on 13 attempts... Earned MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor accolades for her work in the clasroom.

As a Freshman:  In her first collegiate campaign she finished fifth on the team with 231 kills and 265.5 points ... she registered double-digit kills on eight ocassions with a season-high 13 three times ... in her first college match with the Jennies, she had 11 kills, a .643 hitting percentage, four assists, two digs, and a pair of block assists vs. West Alabama (Aug. 26) ... she had a season-high 16 points with 13 kills and a season-best six block assists at Harding (Oct. 8) ... on Sept. 3 she had back-to-back 13-kill and 14-point matches vs. St. Edward’s and Minnesota-Duluth ... she added 13 kills and 13 points the next day vs. North Florida (Sept. 4).

In High School:  Lettered three seasons as an outside hitter for Abraham Lincoln High School ... as a senior she earned first-team all-conference and all-district honors, and was a third-team all-state selection ... also was named first-team All-City and City Player of the Year ... selected to compete in the Iowa Senior All-Star Classic, she was named MVP of the Southwest Iowa All-Star Game.

Personal:  Majoring in Graphic Design with a 3.24 grade-point average ... born June 27, 1986 ... daughter of John and Lori Nahnsen, and Keith Yoder.
