Coach Martin on Carrie Peterson:  “Versatile utility player that walked-on earning a scholarship after her red-shirt freshmen season.  The only player on the team that can play every position on the court, invaluable in the practice situation.  Will get some playing time at rightside and in the backcourt.”

As a Sophomore: Played in 26 matches in a reserve role at both outside and middle hitter... Had two kills in three different matches and had 16 attacks in the season opener against Nebraska-Omaha... Added a season-high eight digs against Arkansas-Monticello... Earned MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll for her work in the classroom.

As a Freshman: Saw action in 22 matches after redshirting her first season at UCM... in 49 games, she had 86 digs and 12 service aces... put up double figures in digs three times and set career highs in nearly every statistical category against top-ranked Truman State.

In High School:  A three-year letterwinner in volleyball and twice in soccer at Dowling Catholic High School ... as a senior she was selected first-team all-district and third-team all-state on the volleyball court... she was also a third team all-state netter as a senior.

� Personal:  Child and Family Development major with a 3.87 grade-point average ... born October 8, 1985 ... daughter of Rick and Camielle Peterson, and Judy Peterson.
