Mules place 10 at Denker Open
Jeremy Hudson captured the 184 pound championship
The Central Missouri Mules wrestling team had one champion and 10 place winners at the Roger Denker Open on Saturday afternoon. Senior Jeremy Hudson won the title at 184 pounds for the Mules. Hudson beat Walker Clarke of Oklahoma State 6-5 in the finals. He also beat Chris McNeil of Oklahoma State 3-1 in the semifinals.
The Mules had runner-up finishes from Cory Bloodgood at 141 and Cody Beck at HWT. Bloodgood lost to Jamal Parks of Oklahoma State in the title bout, while Beck fell to Dom Bradley of Missouri 4-0.
Grant Baker at 141 pounds and Denis Ryzhov at 157 pounds both placed third. The Mules had three wrestlers take fifth place; Caleb Hulse at 125, Jesse Sheets at 165 and Travis Barbarick at 174 pounds. The Mules’ other two place winners were Cody Gillenwater at 141 and Conor Fitzgerald at 165, both wrestlers took home sixth place.
