Mules fall in home dual against Augustana

The 17th-ranked Mules wrestling team fell to 18th-ranked Augustana (S.D.) by a score of 23-15 in the Mules’ first home dual meet on Saturday (Jan. 10) night at the UCM Multipurpose Building. The loss drops the Mules to 2-3 in dual meet competition.

Sophomore heavyweight Cody Beck got the first victory of the night for UCM, a fall in 1:08 over Lance Peters. Beck is currently ranked sixth in the country. The Mules also got decisions from Byron Clark at 125, seventh-ranked Grant Baker at 133 and Denis Ryzhov at 157 pounds.
