Mules take to the mats for the first time in 08-09

The Central Missouri Mules wrestling squad opened the season by hosting the 34th annual Central Missouri Open on Sunday November 16 at the UCM Multipurpose Building.
The Mules had a pair of wrestlers place in the top six of their respective weight classes. Grant Baker finished fifth at 133 and returning national qualifier Cory Bloodgood took sixth place at 141 pounds. Bloodgood was knocked out of the winner’s bracket by eventual champion Jamall Parks of Oklahoma State.
The Mules other top performers included freshmen Scott Neumann, 4-2 at 149 pounds and Chase Chavers, 3-2 at 165. Dan McGee also finished 3-2 at 174 pounds.
