As a Freshman: He went 12-9 overall and 1-1 in duals ... finished sixth at the NCAA Midwest Regional to earn All-Region honors...finished third on the team in penalty points with eight.
In High School: A four-year letter winner for head coach Pete Sierant, he also was a four-time regional champion and a three-time state place winner ... in addition, he is the all-time wins leader in Turner High School history with a record of 121-27 ... helped his team win the 2004 state championship and three regional titles.
