Mules have two place finishers
at
Central Missouri Open
The Central Missouri Mules wrestling squad opened the season by hosting the 33rd annual Central Missouri Open on Sunday November 11 at the Multipurpose Building.
The Mules’ top place winner was returning national qualifier Jeremy Hudson, who took second at 184 pounds. Hudson lost to Cody Hill of Oklahoma State 7-1 in the finals. UCM’s other placer was Caleb Hulse at 125 pounds. Hulse took sixth place.
The Mules other top performers included Keaton Baker, who was 3-2 at 133 pounds. Baker lost to the eventual champion, Tyler Shinn of Oklahoma State 5-2 in the quarterfinals. Vince Bertucci was 2-2 at 157, he also lost in the quarterfinals to the eventual champion, Josh Zupancic of Stanford. Cory Bloodgood at 141 and Kenzie McClain at 149 both posted 2-2 records.
