MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll for Cross Country Announced
The Mules and Jennies Cross Country squads had 14 runners named to the MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll this week for their work in the classroom. On the men’s side, sophomores Cody Boswell (physical education major from Smithville, Mo.) and Dennis Hill (physical education major from Moberly, Mo.) were named along with seniors Jeremy Hammer (exercise science major from Farmington, Mo.), Matt Merrigan (public relations major from Lee’s Summit, Mo.), Neil Theriault (physical education major from St. Charles, Mo.), and Jarod Wall (accounting major from Marshalltown, Iowa).
Named for the Jennies were sophomores Alison Kelley (english education major from Independence, Mo.) and Gina Kennison (elementary education major from Moberly, Mo.), along with juniors Laura Adams (elementary education major from Holt, Mo.), Danielle Moul-Nagel (biology/chemistry major from Harrisonville, Mo.), and Dani Wagaman (elementary education major from Emerson, Mo.). Also earning the honors were senior triplets Erin (hotel and restaurant management major), Kirsten (speech pathology major), and Nicole (photography major) Hasemeier, from Elsberry, Missouri.
To be named to the MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll teams, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or better at the qualifying institution; must have at least two terms of attendance at the member school, excluding summer sessions; must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in athletic eligibility; and may not be inactive due to redshirt or hardship qualification.
