Jennies 14th, Mules 22nd at NCAA-II Cross Country Championships
The Central Missouri State University Jennies finished 14th and the Mules were 22nd in closing the 2005 cross country season at the NCAA-II National Championships on Saturday, November 19th, in Pomona, California.
The Jennies were led by Danielle Moul-Nagel, who was 43rd over the 6K course in 22 minutes, 43.1 seconds. Gina Kennison was 57th in 23:20.4, Sandy Davidson placed 93rd in 23:59.4, Nicole Hasemeier was 98th in 24:08.1, and Kelly Alison rounded out the Jennies’ scoring in 141st in 25:04.9. Erin and Kirsten Hasemeier were 153rd and 157th, respectively, in 25:23.9 and 25:37.5.
Jarod Wall was the Mules’ top finisher, crossing the tape in the 10K in 64th with a time of 33:44.1. Chris Colesworthy placed 111th in 35:03.0, Joe Mundt was 136th in 35:45.0, Matt Merrigan was 141st in 35:58.1, and Dennis Hill placed 144th in 36:04.8. Jeremy Hammer placed 147th in 36:11.8 and Adam Akers was 160th in 37:39.3.
The Mules and Jennies were the only MIAA schools competing at the National Championships.
