Cross Country
Mules 9th and Jennies 10th at NCAA-II Regional Meet
Mules and Jennies cross country squads were in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday to take part in the NCAA-II South-Central Regional Meet. The event was hosted by University of The Incarnate Word, and was the qualifier for the NCAA-II Championship Meet, slated for Nov. 22nd, in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. David Fuchs was the top Mules finisher in 17th place, while Sandy Davidson was the highest Jennies finisher in 9th. The Mules finished in 9th place as a team and the Jennies finished in 10th place. Both squads place sixth at MIAA Championships

(Photo by Dave Kopp)Carrie Roberts was named the MIAA "Freshman of the Year" after her sixth place finish at the MIAA Championships on Saturday
Both squads placed sixth at the MIAA Championship Meet held Saturday, Oct. 25th, at Pertle Springs in Warrensburg. Sixth place was also the best individual performance turned in on the day for both UCM teams.
Carrie Roberts placed sixth to lead the Jennies effort, and was tabbed the women's "Freshman of the Year".

Kirk Pedersen will return to lead the Mules and Jennies for the 2008 season, marking his 22nd season at the helm of the UCM program. Both squads will be looking to return to the NCAA Championships after failing to qualify for the event in the 2007 season.
