Dr. Ahad was born and raised in Bihar, India. She holds a medical degree from a well respected university that provided thorough training in all aspects of medicine. While doing clinical training she instructed junior residents and medical students in numerous aspects of medicine including: Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology and Microbiology. She provided diagnosis, care and treatment to a wide range of patients. After finishing her clinical training in India, she emigrated to the United States in 1996 with her husband. Since then, she has been engaged in various research activities in the clinical field. Her father was a great teacher and several of her siblings are in the teaching profession.
She joined Central Missouri in August of 2008 as an instructor. She has a passion for teaching Anatomy, physiology, microbiology and allied medical subjects. She lives in Warrensburg with her husband and three children. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, listening to music and spending time with her family.
Current research activities involve H.pylori infection and its eradication related in resolution of immune thrombocytopenic purpura in elderly populations and oncogenic viruses.
