Dr. John W.D. Gole has been a faculty member since 1987. He teaches Human Anatomy and Physiology I, Human Anatomy and Physiology II, Immunology, Endocrinology, and Plant Physiology.
His research interests include: neuroendocrine control of cockroach carbohydrate metabolism, and carbohydrate metabolism as a target for control of cockroach growth and reproduction.
Dr. Gole grew up in Southern Ontario in Canada. He got his H.B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo. Then he spent 4 years on post doctoral work at the same University.
Dr. Gole is currently in the application process for funds to upgrade high performance liquid chromatography equipment. This HPLC upgrade will enable analysis of carbohydrate utilization and limitations during flight in the cockroach.
His other interests include gardening and aviation history.
