Dr. Dan Crews is from the Department of History and Anthropology and was awarded $2,000 for travel to continue archival research in Spain on "Behind the Masks: The Converso Civic Christianity of Juan de Vergara and Juan de Valdes"
Dr. Sheri Mattson is from the Department of Music and was awarded a $8,500 grant to release a recording of Dutch music for oboe and piano with a recording label in collobration with faculty and students.
Dr. Alan Wenger is also from the Music Department and was awarded $8,975 to create a sound archieve and potentially important reference recording of significant new works for solo trumpet. This project also presents a multi-faceted approach to solo literature for trumpet by tying in influences from other artistic and literary disciplines.
