Programs of Study

The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Our students tell us that our internship programs, field experiences and the chance to develop personally all made a difference in their decision to choose a major at UCM.

Art and Design

Communication

Government, International Studies, and Languages

Welcome to the Department of Government, International Studies, and Languages. With programs covering a broad range of areas of study, GISL is a truly multidisciplinary department united by a common interest in global cultures, politics and languages. Our major programs are:

History and Anthropology

The Department of History and Anthropology explores the past of our times and the diversity of other cultures. The programs in history prepare students for graduate school, professional schools and public service. The BSEd program in Social Studies trains teachers of history and the social sciences; it is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education and the National Council for the Social Studies. The Center for Religious Studies is dedicated to helping you become a "citizen of the world." Our classes help students to intelligently evaluate the influence and power of religion within the culture of the world. We offer a minor and individualized major in Religious Studies.
